About Me


Breanne (Bre) Biondi is a PhD Candidate in Health Services and Policy Research at Boston University School of Public Health. She is also a NIDA T32 Pre-doctoral fellow and JCOIN LEAP Scholar.  Her research interests include substance use, pregnancy and postpartum care for people with opioid use disorder, access to medications for opioid use disorder, carceral system health, and Medicaid policy.

Bre is a quantitative researcher focusing on causal inference and econometric methods to analyze policies related to substance use. She was a Teaching Assistant for two semesters of Advanced Health Services Research Methods, an advanced quantitative methods course for studies of health care outcomes, quality, and economics. Previously, Bre has worked at Yale University, where she coordinated multiple NIDA-funded research studies on the intersection of HIV and opioid use with a focus on medications for opioid use disorders,  health, and psychological outcomes. Bre received her master's degree from Rutgers School of Public Health and her bachelor's degree from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA.
